He and his brother started a folk trio called Megafaun. He says things started branching off from there in 2007. He says he mostly played with the same people he moved here with for the first decade or so. Calvin asks Phil Cook about some of his other music projects before he created his solo debut album.They were looking for a southern town and picked Durham “somewhat at random” but he says he ended up loving Durham and bought ahouse with his wife in Durham in 2007. He says he originally moved to the area from Wisconsin with seven friends of his who all needed a change of pace.
